- Sadly Maple was hit by a car, which damaged her hip (not her spine) and has left her without the use of her back legs
- Unfortunately she wasn’t able to have physiotherapy at the time due to costs involved
- Pennypaws only found Maple back in March (after her accident and surgery) on a team visit to the shelter in Romania. Maple didn’t belong to any charity but she now belongs to us
- Maple deserves the best home, she is 2 years old and approximately 8kg
- She will need to learn how to use a wheelchair… which means wonderful bonding and a meaningful challenge
- She is able to lift herself to toilet – she gets around by shuffling on her front paws at the moment
- WHAT YOU WILL BE PROVIDED WITH IF YOU ADOPT MAPLE:
- • Lots of support from Pennypaws
- • A wheelchair
- • A drag bag
- • Lots of cuddles and kisses from Maple
- WHAT MAPLE NEEDS:
- Maple needs kind, loving adopters with time, patience and lots of love to give
- Someone with open-plan space for her to wheel around, both indoors and outdoors, would be ideal
- A resident dog would be ideal, as we feel having a canine companion could be wonderful for Maple
- Her adopter will need to be able to afford veterinary bills for anything that isn’t covered by insurance, as well as have the time and commitment to help Maple rest, rehabilitate, find her feet and learn how to use her wheelchair
- Most importantly, she needs someone who will give her the time she deserves to adapt to her new life — a life filled with love, safety, care and happiness
- All Maple needs is someone willing to see past her disability and see the beautiful, loving little dog underneath
- Fully vaccinated and blood tested
- Full RBU and support from Pennypaws Rescue
- A homecheck will be required (video)
